North Dakota Legend Derby Adult Skaters pledge the following:

 

• I recognize and accept my responsibility as a representative of NDLD and my derby team. 

• I will remember that this is a recreational league and we are all here to have fun.

• I will play by the rules and resolve conflicts through respectful communication. 

• I will treat all players, coaches, officials and spectators with respect and courtesy at all times, regardless of race, creed, color, national origin, ability, identity, or orientation.

• I will read and review the North Dakota Legend Derby bylaws and policies and adhere to them at all times.

• I will uphold the league philosophy of healthy competition and sportsmanship.

• I will inform the coach of any ailment or disability that may affect my safety or the safety of others.

• I will respectfully listen to and follow all given instructions and directions from officials and coaches.

• I will respect all practice and event facilities, all equipment, and facility amenities.

• I will remain in full control of my mind and body and will  not skate or participate in any league event under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

• I will never intentionally cause physical harm to another participant or official.

• I will not engage in any behavior which would endanger the health, safety or well being of any player, participant, official or any other attendee

Failure to adhere to the Code of Conduct, depending on the seriousness of the offense(s), may result in any or all of the following consequences:

• Written citation and verbal warning 

• Temporary suspension from league play (no refund of paid dues)

• Removal from the league entirely (no refund of paid dues to date) 

• Depending on the seriousness of the offense(s), the Board of Directors reserves the right to bypass any warning and vote to temporarily suspend or permanently remove any participant from the league.
