Junior Skater
Code of Conduct
North Dakota Legend Derby Junior Skaters pledge the following:
-
I recognize and accept my responsibility as a representative of NDLD and my derby team.
-
I will remember that we are all here to do our best and have FUN.
-
I will try my best and work to develop my skating and derby skills.
-
I will remember that doing my best and having fun is more important than winning.
-
I will remember that falling down and making mistakes is expected and that it shows I am trying hard to learn new things.
-
I will learn and play by the rules.
-
I will resolve conflicts with respectful communication, asking coaches for assistance if needed.
-
I will treat all players, coaches, volunteers, officials, and spectators with respect at all times.
-
I will follow the routines and expectations set by the coaches at every practice.
-
I will show good sportsmanship by encouraging, cheering for, praising and recognizing other skaters’ accomplishments and hard work.
-
I will inform the coach if I have any concerns about anything at all!
-
If I am hurt
-
If I think someone else is hurt
-
If I see or suspect any form of bullying or abuse to myself or anyone else
-
-
I will say nice things to and about myself and to and about my teammates at every event.
-
I can be happy if I put my mind to it.
-
I will knuckle down, buckle down and DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!
-
I WILL BE A LEGEND IN MY OWN LIFE!
