North Dakota Legend Derby acknowledges that the land we skate on rests upon the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mandan, Hidatsa, Dakota, Lakota, Nakota, Arikara, Oceti, Sakowin, Seven Council Fires of the Sioux Nations. 

     We honor and pay respects to the indigenous peoples and traditional custodians who have stewarded this land throughout generations, and recognize their ongoing connection to this territory, land, waters and culture.
